Focused on Quality At Spectrum, our real product is quality.....consistent quality. A lot of printers can put ink on paper. Putting ink on paper so that it meets the expectations of our customers time after time is how we view our business. How do we do it? Like most printers, we have checklists that determine whether a job is ready for the next department. But we go a few steps further. We ask, actually encourage and reward employees to stop jobs in progress for quality concerns. Any one of our 30 employees can do it at any time. Our prepress and pressroom employees meet regularly to discuss their work environment. Some of the most productive changes in plant operations have come from these meetings. If you happen to visit our plant, check out the employee bulletin board. Sales and profitability are important, but they are a direct result of quality and service to our customers. So our bulletin board lets employees know how we are doing with on time deliveries and how often jobs are stopped due to quality concerns. Doing our best in these areas is paramount to our success.
